How We Verify Groups

When someone submits a group, our system performs an immediate automated check:

• Link validation — We confirm the invite URL matches a recognised platform pattern (WhatsApp, Telegram or Discord) and that it resolves to a live group.
• Duplicate detection — The link is compared against our existing database to prevent the same group being listed twice.
• Policy filter — The group name and description are screened against a keyword blocklist to reject obviously inappropriate content before human review.

Every group that passes automated checks is queued for manual review by our admin team. During this step we verify:

• The group is correctly categorised and tagged.
• The title accurately represents the community's purpose.
• The description is informative, original and free of spam.
• The group content (visible via the platform's preview) doesn't violate our content policy.

Groups that don't meet these standards are rejected with a reason code. Submitters can fix the issue and resubmit.

Verification doesn't stop at approval. We continuously monitor listed groups:

• Link health checks — A periodic sweep visits every invite link and flags groups whose links have expired or been revoked. These are marked "abandoned" and hidden from search results.
• Image refresh — Group profile images and banners are re-fetched regularly so the directory stays visually up to date.
• Community reports — Visitors can report a group directly from its listing page. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

A group may be removed if it:

• Has an expired or revoked invite link that isn't updated within 14 days.
• Receives multiple credible reports of spam, scam activity or content policy violations.
• Was listed with misleading information (wrong category, fake description, etc.).

Group owners can request removal or reinstatement via our contact form. We respond within 24 hours.

Most group directories are full of dead links, duplicate listings and spam. Our verification process ensures that when you click "Join" on Groupsgyani, the link works, the community is real, and it matches what was advertised.
